Botanicals:

Alfalfa Leaf: Alfalfa Leaf is a phytoestrogen which imitates estrogen and attaches to receptor sites in the body. Estrogen is a most critical hormone for breast milk production and supply. Alfalfa Leaf is a superfood due to its high vitamin and mineral content which supports lactation.

Blessed Thistle: Blessed Thistle is an herbal galactagogue, which increases the flow of breast milk by increasing prolactin levels. Blessed Thistle helps to boost the hormone prolactin, which supports milk supply and oxytocin, supporting the let-down reflex.

Fennel Seed: Fennel Seed is a herbal galactagogue, which increases the flow of breast milk by increasing prolactin levels. It boosts breast milk as a phytoestrogen and helps to increase milk flow and supply.

Fenugreek Seed: Fenugreek Seed is a galactagogue and contains phytoestrogen which helps to increase milk flow and supply. Fenugreek contains several flavonoids and vitamins which are beneficial for lactating mothers and a natural plant compound called diosgenin which also increases the let-down reflex in lactating women.

Hops Flower: Hops Flower is a galactagogue, nervine, and a powerful phytoestrogen. Nervines are herbs that act upon the nervous system that are sedating or calming which helps the mother relax for easy lactation.

Milk Thistle Seed: Milk Thistle Seed is a galactagogue, which supports the flow of breast milk. When Milk Thistle Seed is paired with Fenugreek, they enhance one another’s abilities to boost breast milk supply.

Nettle Leaf: Nettle Leaf is not only a galactagogue but it also supports lactation by providing essential nutrients. It is one of the most nutritious of the spring greens, containing high levels of vitamins and minerals, including iron, calcium, potassium, folic acid, B vitamins, vitamin K, and essential amino acids. This herb works well with other galactagogues, such as fenugreek, fennel, and blessed thistle.

Raspberry Leaf: Raspberry Leaf is full of B vitamins, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, iron, and antioxidants. The antioxidants in Raspberry Leaf help protect the cells from damage caused by free radicals. As a galactagogue, it stimulates the release of prolactin which promotes the let-down reflex and flow of milk.

Shatavari Root: Shatavari Root is also a galactagogue and increases breast milk supply by boosting the production of corticoids and prolactin, which improve the quality and the amount of breast milk produced. Shatavari Root stimulates the secretion of steroid hormones that improve milk production and increases breast weight. As an adaptogen, it has antioxidant properties that help improve the overall health of the nursing mother.
