MA | Mindfulness Based Restorative Yoga Enhanced with Plants + Mushrooms

Create Space. Tend Your Roots.

In Japanese culture, “MA” or 間 is the concept of negative space— the pure silence between notes that gives music its shape.

Join Plantae + Fungi in Cambria for an intimate plant + mushroom enhanced evening dedicated to finding the space between your thoughts. MA is an immersion of somatic regulation and deep rest by combining the ancient wisdom of plant + mushroom allies with gentle restorative yoga and mindfulness meditation to create a container for total nervous system reset.

MA is presented by Plantae + Fungi and Sonic Milk Recording Studio on Saturday, February 14 at 6 to 8:30pm. This unique journey will include a tasting of a specially crafted Somatic Menu of house-crafted teas, functional mushrooms, herbal infusions, and plant allies (such as cannabis and kanna) designed to soften the edges and tune into your physical body. Next, Miho Watanabe, co-owner of Plantae + Fungi, yoga instructor, and mindfulness meditation teacher, will lead participants in 75 minutes of mindful restorative yoga.

This is a 21+ event and is $40 per person. Bring a yoga mat, two blankets, and wear your comfiest and warm clothing. Please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume. MA will be taking place at the Sonic Milk Recording Studio at 715 Main St in Cambria, California.

Meet Your Teacher

Miho Watanabe

Yoga, and meditation in particular, profoundly changed my life and the way I perceive both myself and the world around me. This is why I am passionate about sharing these practices with others—especially those who are new to the practice or believe it isn’t for them. In life, it is easy to get caught up in daily activities and mindless, habitual actions. Through a gentle and inviting approach, I aim to bring us all back to our true nature of loving, kind awareness so that we may live our lives more fully.

I completed my 200-hour YTT certificate in 2016 at Smiling Dog Yoga in San Luis Obispo, and in 2025, I earned my 2 year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification through Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.

My classes combine restorative yoga, sometimes yin yoga, with breath practices and soothing guided meditation. Sometimes my classes only involve meditation rooted in vipassana and an inquiry of the self. I invite you to explore what’s possible and pursue what you feel called to join. I look forward to meeting you!
